1. Agreement to Terms

By requesting an estimate, signing a project agreement, or submitting your contact information through our website or by text/phone, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the relationship between Genesis Flooring & Renovations LLC ("Genesis Flooring," "we," "us," or "our") and you as a client or prospective client.

2. Services

Genesis Flooring & Renovations provides residential and commercial flooring installation services in Lakeland, FL and surrounding Polk County areas, including but not limited to:

• Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) installation
• Laminate flooring installation
• Hardwood and engineered hardwood installation
• Floor demolition and removal
• Subfloor preparation and repair

All services are subject to a written estimate that must be accepted and signed by both parties before work begins.

3. Estimates & Pricing

Estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 1 week from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. Estimates are based on information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may be adjusted if unforeseen conditions are discovered after work begins (e.g., subfloor moisture, soft spots, or structural issues). Any changes to scope will be communicated in writing and require client approval before proceeding.

4. Payment Terms

• Material deposit (100%): Due before materials are ordered
• Labor deposit (50%): Due before project start date
• Labor balance (50%): Due immediately upon project completion
• Accepted payments: Zelle, Check, Cash

Failure to make payment on the agreed schedule may result in work stoppage. Genesis Flooring reserves the right to charge a late fee of 1.5% per month on balances overdue by more than 7 days.

5. Warranty

Genesis Flooring provides a 1-year warranty on installation workmanship. This warranty covers defects in the installation process performed by our team. It does not cover:

• Damage caused by water, flooding, or moisture events after installation
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by improper maintenance, furniture, pets, or misuse
• Material defects — these are covered separately by the manufacturer's warranty
• Pre-existing subfloor conditions not identified at time of installation

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled project start date. If materials have already been ordered at the time of cancellation, the material deposit is non-refundable. Labor deposits may be partially refunded at our discretion depending on preparation work already completed.

7. Client Responsibilities

Before installation begins, clients are responsible for:

• Ensuring access to the installation area
• Removing fragile, specialty, or high-value items from work areas (we move standard furniture)
• Disclosing any known subfloor issues, water damage, or structural concerns
• Ensuring the space is adequately climate-controlled for material acclimation

8. Limitation of Liability

Genesis Flooring & Renovations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in dispute. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden structural defects, or damage caused by events outside our control.

9. Insurance

Genesis Flooring & Renovations LLC carries $1M/$2M general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in Polk County, Florida.
